Opensolr Notes

Your notes, in your own index. Found by what you meant.

Opensolr Notes keeps your notes in an Opensolr index of your own and finds them by words and by meaning, not by a folder you have to remember. On every phone of your account, and here on the web.

What it does

A notes app that actually finds things.

Search by meaning

Type what the note was about, not the words you used. Lexical and vector search run together over everything you wrote.

The index is yours

Your notes live in an Opensolr Index on your own account. You can query it yourself, tune how it searches, or take it elsewhere.

One set of notes, every phone

An account keeps one notes index. Write on one phone, it is there on the next, and here in the browser.

Sorted for you

Each note gets a two-word category of its own, written by the model, so the list stays readable without you filing anything.

Locked on the web

A captcha and the two-factor code of your Opensolr account, from your app or as a text message. The index password can be added as an extra step.

Open source

The Android app is on GitHub, every line of it, and the web page is the hosted search page of your own index.

How it works

Three steps, about a minute.

1. Create an accountA free Opensolr account. Your notes index is made for you the first time you sign in on the phone.
2. Install the appWrite a note and it is indexed as you save it, with its own category and its meaning.
3. Open them anywhereHere on the web, with your account address and its two-factor code, or on any other phone of the account.

Your notes are waiting.

Open them in the browser with your Opensolr account address and its two-factor code.
